From Jennifer: Dakoda was meant to be my dog. I stumbled upon his breeder, Tom while trying to reach another breeder: he breeds conformation dogs and had a litter tht was 3 weeks old and a buyer had just backed out.  The breeder lives on the way to my mom's, about 2 hours south, so i got to visit the litter before picking Dakoda up.  Since the day I got him, we have been very closely bonded. He is extremely smart, sweet and spirited. I am excited to see what he's capable of.

I learned about agility when my mom took it up with her border collie, Gabby, in Portland. After watching them practice, I knew I wanted to give it a try when I got a puppy. After starting with Dakoda in Lyn's Agility Fundamentals class, WE were hooked! Since then I have been scrounging and building equipment, traveling to trials, asking a ton of questions, reading everything I can get my hands on, and practicing daily.  My goals are to have FUN. If we get to trial, improve ourselves and do well, groovy. If not, we will still have fun!

Lori Pritchett owns Moose a Red Merle Australian Shepherd.

From Lori:  About 8 years ago I visited a friend in Reno who has a set of practice weaves in her yard and she showed me her border collie doing that obstacle. I thought it was really cool and never gave it much else thought.....Then a couple of years ago, I got my new dog who was SO smart and had a lot of speed and agility....... I remembered seeing the signs going up at RiverDog before it even opened (one of my clients lives directly across the street) and THEN saw a flyer at my vet's office for the same thing!!! So , I thought I'd try it out to see how she did to give her something to do....... the rest is history... :-)
