THE RIVERDOG SCRAMBLERS
AGILITY GROUP
With Lyn's encouragment and help, we started the RiverDog Scrambler Agility Group.  Practices take place at RiverDog Agility and Training Center.  Lyn is the President of this group and we are an offshoot of her Training Center.
Libby is trialing in Canine Performance Events (CPE) in her first trial she Q'd and placed 2nd in 2 of her 3 classes and continues in agility classes.  Lyn, as time allows will be attending seminars to advance within the agility world. Libby is a rescue and is doing fantastic even though she has limited hearing.

Diane has been training her dogs in agility since 2004. She started with Lissa Wall in Santa Rosa, has done numberous seminars under different instructors and has done some private lessons when able. Her dilema is that there are no advanced instructors in our area :( Diane is the Scramblers
Team Leader .
Diane and Levi started as a agility team in 2004, she started trialing him in CPE (Canine Performance Events) when he was 15 months. Levi quickly moved up, he was also trialed in NADAC/ASCA, and AKC earning a NA, and NAJ in AKC.  Diane and Levi moved to Cottonwood, 9/05, this move created a few months off of training. On December 1st Levi was kicked in the head by a miniature horse and had several fractures to his sinus lobe.  After surgery and again, time off Levi was back to Trialing, October 6, 2007 Levi Earned his CPE Agility Trial Championship which is
called
a C-ATCH. Very shortly after that he earned his ChST, Champion in Standard Run's Levi has gone far and  Diane will continue to seek out seminars and training for them.  Diane is a Founding Member of RiverDog Scramblers Group, (2006)
Coda , the youngster was born Jan 07. His debut is on May 3, 08 in Central Point Oregon. Again, he will move up very slowly, 1 class each day until Diane is confident he is ready to go on. With limited access to fun runs, this gives the dogs a chance to gain confidence in a trail setting.

All Dianes dog participate in Scramber practice, and classes at
RiverDog.
Jessie was born in 9/ 04 also, but the later part, and was started in training at Lissa's , however due to the move, this was shortlived. Since 05 Diane has
trained Jessie on her own, with the aid of seminars, and private lessons with top trainers as she is able to (since no trainers are in our area she must travel 3 hrs each way)
Jessie has her CGC and has moved up to CL4-FR in her titles, she is in need of 2 more Q's to finish level 4. In CPE  she can  also be in Level 5 at the same time (which she is.
Shasta was born in 06 (march). Diane has had her hands full with this gal as she has herding full on on her dads side. Shasta has been trialing and is doing wonderful, however, Diane will stay in level 1 until she feels Shasta has the confidence and drive to move up with success. So far Shasta has 2 1st place & 1 -2nd Q's in fullhouse, 1 -first place Q in Standard, and  1-2nd place Q in colors, Diane only puts her in 1 class a day at this point.
Jan Kells and Jasper, one cannot say enough about this fantastic team. Jasper was a rescue, and is a Catahoula. HMM, issues and energy. !

Jan has worked with Jasper through them all and BOY can you tell.

Just starting in 05 Jan and Jasper moved up quickly. Their first trial in Central point Oregan  in 06 proved 4 out of 5 Q's , many of which were 1st places .  Jan is the RiverDog Assistant Scramblers Leader.
Jan actively seeks out seminars, and attends these and will seek out a private lesson when a top instructor comes to the area. Jan is participating in the Power Paws summer camp this June (08).

At the last CPE trial held in Elk Grove , after 2 months of no trialing, Jasper and Jan earned a perfect weekend, 10 Q's out of 10 runs. 8 First places, 1 Second place and 1 Fifth place. This shows the dedication of Jan in her at home training, and her participation at Scrambler practices.

Jasper has finished level 3, earning his CL3 title and is currently in Level 4 in some classes and has some Q's in level 5 already. Way to go Jasper and Jan.

Marsha Nicoli moved to Grass Valley last year and is sorely missed. She was and still is a Founding member of RiverDog Scrambers and was our Assistant Leader until her move.

Abby was the start of Marsha's interest in Agility, Abby was a rescue at the tender age of 1 yr. .  She was very timid and always hiding. Soon Abby was diagnosed with Progressive Retnal Diesease and her Veternarian recommened agility to build her confidence. Marsha was living in Dixon at the time and could not find a trainer that would take them into their classes due to Abby's site problem. When Marsha moved to Redding she ran across RiverDog Agility and Lyn Murray. Lyn had just started her new business and Marsha and Abby were in her second class. Marsha continued to work with Abby but she was having problems working at night, and the weave poles were impossible for her.

This is when Marsha got Taz. She soon started her with Lyn as well as taking other classes with Taz also.  Soon afterwards  Marsha met Diane and Diane  started organizing practice sessions for Lyn and with Lyn's encouragement we founded RiverDog Scramblers. With Diane's encouragement  Marsha built up her confidence and started to trial in CPE  with Tax.

Below are more of Diane's Dogs .........
RiverDog's Tag a 16 month (as of 4/08) Border Collie adopted by Lyn Murray to be her new agility dog. Tag is very well behaved, socialized,  and has an instant recall.

She worked sheep, however was not the right dog to move up to cows on a working ranch. Lyn and I happened to meet Tag AT the right time. Tag's personality and disposition and quick learning ability should soon make her a star.

A BIG thanks to Travis and his family for this wonderful new addition.
Nani, Lyn's 1st dog is such an awesome girl! A past injury makes it so she cannot compete in agility.
